(Speaking of voices, the animators’ union reports that the voice actors are renegotiating again, and the future of The Simpsons is uncertain. Some good lines (I was expecting a “don’t have a cow joke,” so I was surprised when it came at the very end rather than sooner), and the episode as a whole was somewhat reminicent of an earlier episode.Įven though there have been some inside jokes on this line before (like Homer meeting Dan Castenelleta at the Fox studios), I think it would be funnier if the voice on the animal tape had been Nancy Cartwright, and Bart responded “Who the hell is she?” But, then again, that’s just me. The opening with the rampant advertising in cartoons (and golf) was amusing, and it was nice to see Plopper make another brief cameo. An entertaining episode, as far as the current crop goes.
